Last of all, hopefully you can answer this without going into spoiler territory, did you also use any of the subs from TokuHD to help with any of the translations? I didn’t see them credited, so I wondered if that was ever considered as a translation source. So is there perhaps another post somewhere that details/catalogues all the translation choices and fixes that were made? Would love to read it! The series is old, and many people (like me) have seen it at least once by now we’ve just been waiting for a more definitive translation. Secondly, I know you are trying to avoid spoilers, but I think most people click on the “Read more” button to find out more about the translation choices, spoilers and all. (Bonus points for recovering the copyright-protected music scenes!) As for the episodes and the timecodes the music appear in, they are as follows:Įpisode 31 – 07:31-08:08, 09:31-09:55 and 21:05-21:31īig thanks to these folks for helping make this possible:īunny Hat – Provider of Episode/Movie (DC)/HBV RawsĪs usual, TV-Nihon also deserves a shout out since this is a scrub and really couldn’t have been completed without their original subs.įirst of all, thank you for this release and all the hard work that went into it!įaiz was the first Kamen Rider series I ever saw, so it’s nice to finally see someone make a complete release and take some time to put as much quality into the translation as possible. The untouched DVD Audio is still available as a secondary track for those who want to experience the show that way. Now everyone can enjoy those episodes in the way they were initially intended. So after some thought, I decided to make this the default audio track for those episodes respectively. The TV Rips’ audio turned out to actually be really good (even though the video was terrible) and I’m really happy with how nicely it blended with the rest of the DVD audio. After some digging around, I was able to find the original TV airings of the Faiz episodes that had cut music and have managed to splice the audio back into the episodes. This music was cut from the DVD and Blu-Ray release of Faiz and replaced with generic stock music. I’m sure you all know of the infamous Sawada debut scene and how copyrighted music was used in the original TV Broadcast of the episode. Hopefully this leads to a more coherent viewing experience for anyone who may have been confused on their first viewing.Īnother thing I would like to address is the use of copyright music in the show. It’s hard for me to go into detail without spoiling the show, but just know that they’ve been fixed now. Most of which could be passed over, but there were a few instances where a line that implies a characters motivations or intentions were very obviously mistranslated (Agony didn’t catch these mistranslations either). One thing I wanted to bring up specifically were the mistranslation that TVN made throughout the show. Majority of it was just making dialogue sound more natural, specific phrasing based on characters’ personalities and reworking some terminology used in the show (“Orphenochs” is now “Orphnochs”, “Ryusei School” is now “Ryusei Academy”, etc) In terms of changes (other than fonts and timing), I would say about 95% of the lines have been altered from what TVN had. I’m also using Over-Times sub of the HBV that has been edited to include my fonts and terminology, although their subtitles are still included in the secondary sub track. Although I did use a few lines here and there from Agony’s release that I thought worked well. Halfway through I decided to drop everything and start from scratch, this time directly scrubbing from TV Nihon’s subs. But after spending some time with their scripts, I wasn’t all that happy with a lot of the changes they had made. Originally this was just meant to be a clean up of Agony’s scrub, so as to fix up their “Blagony” portion of their release. Now there’s a bit to go over with this scrub so please bear with me. All files are in 60fps with the exception of both versions of Paradise Lost. This is a Complete Series Batch that includes Episodes 1-50, Paradise Lost Theatrical and Director’s Cut as well as the Hyper Battle Video. I’m back! And this time it’s with a scrub of Kamen Rider Faiz (or 555). Scripts have also been updated if you wanted to just grab those and mux them into the video yourself. The v2s fix some typos and errors that were found. UPDATE: I’ve added v2s in the Mega folder for episodes 2, 3, 15, 18, 21, 35, 38, 39, 42 and the Director’s Cut of Paradise Lost.
